VascuGraft – surface modification of polyurethane vascular grafts

PROJECT

As part of the project, work is underway to modify the surface of polyurethane vascular prostheses. Developed modification technologies aim to increase the biocompatibility and hemocompatibility of prostheses. So far, we have managed to develop technologies for the production of coatings based on silanes and acrylates. In the next stage of the process, a peptide is attached to the surface of the material. The role of the peptide is to elicit a specific biological response.

The project " VascuGraft – surface modification of polyurethane vascular grafts " is financed by the National Center for Research and Development as a part of the Polish-Taiwan Scientific Cooperation Programme.
